Frequently Asked Questions
My child has severe allergies. Is it safe to use the dough?
For children with life-threatening allergies, we advise against using our dough, as we are unable to provide a 100% guarantee that cross-contamination has not occurred during sourcing or production.
What age are your kits suitable for?
Our kits are suitable for children aged 3 years and up.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, all kits are designed for children over 3 years old due to small parts that may present a choking hazard. Adult supervision is required at all times.
Why are your kits 3+?
Our kits contain small components and loose parts that require coordination and understanding typically developed from age 3 onwards. Safety is our priority, and we always recommend adult supervision during play.
What ingredients are in your dough?
We believe in being transparent about what goes into our products.
Please visit our Dough Care & Ingredients page for a full list of ingredients and detailed information.
Is your dough taste-safe?
Our dough is made using food-based ingredients; however, it is not intended for consumption. Children should be supervised closely during play.
For full ingredient details, please see our Dough Care & Ingredients page.
How can I prolong the freshness of the dough?
To keep your dough soft and fresh:
Store it in an airtight container after each use
Put the dough away in its airtight container soon after your child has finished playing, rather than leaving it out
Keep it in a cool, dry place
For extended shelf life, store the dough in the fridge
For best results, we recommend that children wash their hands before playing with the dough. This helps keep it clean and helps it last longer.

How long does the dough last?
When stored correctly in an airtight container, your dough can last 3+ months.
Storing the dough in the fridge can help extend its shelf life even further. Longevity depends on how frequently it’s used and how well it’s stored.
See our Dough Care page for full guidance.
Do your kits require adult supervision?
Yes. Adult supervision is required at all times, particularly for younger children, due to small parts and loose sensory materials.
Can I reuse the dough and accessories?
Absolutely. Our kits are designed for repeated use. Simply store all components properly after play to extend their lifespan.
We also offer replacement jars of dough, meaning your kits can be refreshed and enjoyed again in the future.
What if my dough dries out?
If your dough begins to dry:
Try kneading in a very small drop of water at a time until the texture improves
Always return the dough to its airtight container soon after play rather than leaving it exposed to air
